Wound Care
The Specialty Hospital of Washington - Hadley provides an interdisciplinary approach to wound care and utilizes state of the art technology and techniques. We have recently renovated our surgical suites so that patients may receive appropriate wound-related surgical procedures without being transported to another facility. Integral to our Program is providing comfort to patients by alleviating the pain involved with wounds and wound care and optimizing the treatment environment that enables the wound to heal quickly.
The Program’s approach to wound management is multidisciplinary and promotes a consistent, intense and individualized approach to wound care management that is effectual, cost effective and focuses on the promotion of wound healing, wound prevention and education.
SHW - Hadley believes that patient and caregiver education is critical to the prevention of future wounds and that caregivers (and the patient as they are able) are involved in the Plan of Care to assist in decreasing the costs of prolonged treatment and future recurrence of wounds.
